Tea Time Doily Beret

As I mentioned in my earlier post, I have been cranking out doily berets from this pattern. I found a beautiful doily pattern earlier this week and thought it would make a gorgeous beret... this is the result! I used exactly one 3.5oz skein of Lanaloft worsted (had JUST ENOUGH to have a little end to weave in when done).

The first nine rows of this pattern are from Foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains' Tea Time Doily, which you can find on her blog here. The only alterations that I made is that I omitted the popcorn stitch and row 10. You can follow the link to the original pattern if the popcorn stitch is something that you'd like to include.

Materials
-US 4.25 MM hook (G)
- Worsted weight yarn (I used Lanaloft Worsted Weight in Manhattan Mist)

Finished Size
Hat fits average adult woman's head. Add additional rows after rows 14 or 23 to increase length of hat, add increases after row 10 for bigger head. Email me if you need help!

Notes
dc2tog- double crochet decrease
dc-double crochet
sc-single crochet
sl st- slip stitch
st-stitch
ch-chain
yo-yarn over
rs-right side
sp-space
